The City of Boulder recently requested mutual aid for the fast moving NCAR fire. Located on open space near the National Center for Atmospheric, the fire was held to 200 acres.

Four NedFire members responded in 5631, one of our Type 6 Wildland Engines, during the initial attack. Assigned to protect homes to the east of the fire, the team joined multiple agencies to construct a "wetline" utilizing hydrant water from city pumpers and several thousand feet of hose.

As of March 27th, the fire has been held to 189 acres at 35% containment with no casualties, injuries or strucutres lost.
