Push-In Ceremony, 2PM
Join us in putting our brand new fire engine into service!
A push-in ceremony is a fire service tradition, dating back to the age of horse-drawn fire equipment, where the new fire truck is ceremoniously pushed into the fire station bay by firefighters and community members. The tradition symbolizes the formal commissioning of a new apparatus into service, connects the community with the fire department, and honors the history of the fire service.
The department will be providing drinks & desserts at no cost to the public.
Looking to support the fire department but not be a firefighter? Our auxiliary has just been re-established and we are looking for volunteers to join. Help plan events, support firefighters during complex incidents and give back to your community. The auxiliary will be at the ceremony selling NFPD merchandise and answering questions. Looks for the gray auxiliary t-shirts!
