NEDERLAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

Nederland Fire manages three stations and 18 apparatus to meet the needs of our district. Station One is the focal point for most emergency responses and training activities for the District. Our Eldora and Ridge sub-stations provide valuable pre-positioning of fire apparatus, water supply and equipment in those areas. Volunteer emergency responders typically respond to the closest station and respond in the most appropriate apparatus.

NFPD Station#1

Located at 650 West 4th Street on the western edge of the Town of Nederland and is our main station.  It houses two ambulances and 7 different fire and rescue apparatus. It is our administrative headquarters and nearly all departmental training is delivered here.

NFPD Station#2

Located at 2815 Ridge Road serves St. Anton Highlands, Bonanza Mountain Estates, Falls Pointe, Hurricane hill and Boulder Canyon as well as the rest of the District. It currently houses one Type 2 Structural Fire Engine and one Type 6 Wildland Fire interface truck. Plans are underway to expand this station to add bay space for a water tender.  Our wildland brush truck is equipped with oxygen, an EMS response kit and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for medical calls in that area.

NFPD Station#3

Located centrally in the former town site of Eldora, this station houses one all wheel drive Type 1 Structural Fire Engine, an all wheel drive Type 6 wildland fire Brush Truck and one ~1,500 gallon water tender. This Brush Truck is also equipped with oxygen, an EMS kit and an AED.
